•Pursuant to the by-laws of the Tano Road Association, provide names of prospective TRA board members •Provide slate of officers for each year to present a the annual meeting
By Laws Committee:
•Review the TRA By Laws for needed changes from time to time and submit proposed changes to the board for consideration.
Water Resources Committee:
•Provide and coordinate water issues education for committee members. •Coordinate and assign water data monitoring on the City wells: •Get monthly well readings from the OSE on the Northwest well. •Get monthly activity reports on the four (4) new wells in the Buckman Field. •Analyze readings on wells and if required, be prepared to challenge the city on the constraints in the permit to pumping. •Coordinate and monitor the TRA monitoring wells project. Secure three non-pumping wells and acquire equipment needed to monitor wells on a quarterly basis. Establish and analyze database from well data collected. Consult with Peggy Johnson of NM Tech on data analysis. •Line up effective and credible witnesses to provide testimony if necessary at meetings or hearings. •Attend local water planning meetings and establish contacts with other local area water groups. •Report on water issues to TRA Board. •Spokespersons for TRA must coordinate presentations or comments on behalf of the TRA through the TRA leadership.
Residential Development Committee:
•Educate committee members about City and County land development issues and processes that may affect the Tano Road Association area: •Approved development •Pending development •Coordinate and assign committee members to gather information on projects such as Santa Fe Estates, Northwest Quadrant, Monte Sereno and other development proposed in the Tano Road Association area and attend meetings as required on behalf of the TRA. More than one committee member or TRA member should be assigned to attend meetings. •Participate in Early Neighborhood Notification Meetings, Regional Planning Authority meetings. Initiate and organize an area wide Northwest Santa Fe Long Range Planning Committee composed of stakeholders and city and county officials and staff. This committee can establish guidance on land development and infrastructure needs. •Establish a collective “memory bank” for future reference. •Spokespersons for TRA must coordinate presentations or comments on behalf of the TRA through the TRA leadership.
Communications:
•Collect contributions, assemble and publish a quarterly newsletter. •Broadcast e-mail alerts to the membership or the entire TRA area. •Maintain the tanoroad.org web site. •Co-ordinate all publications through the TRA leadership.
Security Patrol:
•Schedule the patrol drivers. •Maintain the cell phone, vehicle sign and security log book. •Assign monthly Coordinators to take morning Check-In calls. •Maintain the Security signs installed on the roadsides. •Maintain the list of all reported incidents, the time of occurrence and circumstances, and as appropriate, report incidents to the County Sheriff. •Work with County Sheriff on security issues to assure there is police presence in the Tano Road Association area.
Trash Bash:
•Assign coordinators to schedule and organize two trash bash events annually. •Establish list of host houses to call on for the trash bash events. •Broadcast trash bash event coordinator(s) and point persons to take reservations for food assignments and contributions, drinks and supplies for each trash bash event. •Secure host house and assistance for setting up and cleaning up the events two to three months in advance of a trash bash event. •Invitations for trash bash events shall be mailed three weeks in advance of a trash bash event. •If desired, secure speaker or presenter on a topic of interest to the general membership. •Co-ordinate trash pick up with Waste Management if required.
Roads and Trails Committee:
•Educate committee members about area trails, roads and traffic issues •599 Interchanges with area roads •Roads in pending development that may affect TRA area •Trails and trail networks •Committee will develop strategies to get the roads in the TRA area improved, maintained and paved and improvements to the trails and trail network. •Coordinate and assign committee members to attend meetings related to development and improvement of roads and trails in the TRA area. •Spokespersons for TRA must coordinate presentations or comments on behalf of the TRA through the TRA leadership.
Membership Development Committee:
•Develop strategies to attract new members. •Heighten renewals of current members or previous members. •Create communications materials and send to new residents to the TRA area. •Develop follow-up tactics to encourage membership. •Report on membership development to the TRA Board.
Public Safety Committee:
•Educate committee on Fire and EMT issues in the TRA area. •Develop strategy for securing Fire and EMT services in the TRA area. •Attend meetings with County staff on establishing Fire and EMT services to the TRA area. •Meet with County Sheriff on security issues in the TRA area. •Spokespersons must coordinate communications with the City and County through the TRA leadership.
