Commercial Property Zoning Coming to Tano Rd. Area
DO YOU WANT IT?
Will this open the door for more commercial zoning in this area?
The first hearing for rezoning of 10 Heartstone Dr. or Ashwin Stables (at the corner of Tano West & Heartstone Dr.) will be held July 16, the second scheduled for Sept. 8. The property is currently listed as residential but the owner is applying for rezoning to a Commercial permit. This will be the first for the Tano Road area and concerns are if this takes place, how difficult will it be for Tano residents to keep out other commercially zoned enterprises? Coming to the meetings is very important to voice your concerns, but if it is not possible, please send your remarks in a letter to the address below.
The County Development & Review Committee will meet beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the County Administration Building (102 Grant Ave.)-

I would think that the Tano Rd. Assoc. and its members would be interested that Ashwin Stables and its owners, are filing for these Commercial Property Permits. That have been posted outside the Private barn owned by Jean and don Altshuler.
The community would like your help to stop this envision and over consumption of water from our quiet and peaceful residential area.I would assume that Tano Road Ass. would not be in favor of Commercial Permits for businesses being issued.Members should be informed of these types of permits being issued in our residential area. Please let members of the association decide if they like it or not about what is trying to be done by the owners of Ashwin Stables ,and the bad effects that could be felt by property owners and residents and our Water with these commercial business permits being given out around our properties.
Thank you for your prompt attention to make the community aware of these happening .So they can do what is needed to stop these commercial permits from being issued or otherwise, but the community needs to know and decide for themselves.
There has been a business that has been operating and(boarding barn for pay 20 horses at at time 16 stalls at barn plus 4 stalls across the street at barn employees house) running on these premises for at least 7 years without be detected by the county and residents until a few months ago.and than the county was notified.
